LNZ in Cherkasy began the match with a victory against Epicentr, which took place on September 9, 2025. This game was part of the second round of the Ukrainian football championship (UPL). LNZ won for the first time under the management of the new coach Vitaliy Ponomaryov, who hopes for an improvement in the team's results.

The only goal in the match was scored by Yashar, who converted a penalty in the 22nd minute. This moment became the result of a VAR review, when the referee confirmed a foul by the Epicentr goalkeeper. LNZ controlled the game for most of the match, creating several moments to increase their lead.

The teams had previously met four times in different leagues, but this match became significant for LNZ, as they recorded their first victory in the new season.

Thanks to this victory, LNZ rose in the UPL standings, while Epicentr continues to search for their first win in the new season.
