79 Clashes Recorded on the Frontline, Fighting Continues Near Pokrovsk

Today, September 9, 79 combat clashes took place between the Armed Forces of Ukraine and Russian troops. The most intense battles are taking place in the Novopavlivka area, reports the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Since the beginning of the day, Russian troops have been shelling populated areas, including Arkhipivka in the Chernihiv region and several populated points in the Sumy and Kharkiv regions. In the zone of the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk, six combat clashes were recorded, during which Russian troops used five guided aerial bombs.

In the southern Slobozhanshchyna, Ukrainian defenders repelled three attacks by the enemy in the Vovchansk area. In the Kupiansk sector, Russian troops also carried out several attacks.

In the Lyman sector, six attacks occurred, while in the Siversky sector, two enemy assaults were repelled. The situation in other sectors of the front remained relatively stable.

Currently, according to the General Staff, 163 combat clashes were recorded over the past day. During the previous day, the enemy carried out two rocket attacks and 74 airstrikes on positions of Ukrainian forces.

The use of unmanned aerial vehicles also remains relevant, as Ukrainian drones have revealed a terminal for storing drones of the "Shahed" type in Tatarstan.
