- Millwall won 2-1 against Norwich with a goal from Languestaff.
- Charlton defeated Watford 1-0 thanks to Knibbs.
- West Brom started with a 1-0 victory over Blackburn under the leadership of Mayson.
On the first day of the new season of the English championship, matches were held that brought changes to the table. Millwall secured a victory over Norwich with a score of 2-1, thanks to a goal from Makuoli Languestaff, who came off the bench and scored the decisive goal at the end of the game.
The team Charlton also started strong, securing a 1-0 win over Watford with a goal from Harvey Knibbs in the final moments of the match. Charlton's lead remains intact from their previous season, although the team did not play at home since last year's December.
West Brom, under the guidance of new manager Rayan Mayson, began the season with a 1-0 victory over Blackburn. Isaac Praise scored the only goal in the match, but the team finished the game with a disadvantage due to a red card for Darnell Furlong.
Other results include a victory for Midlsbro 1-0 over Sunderland and a draw 1-1 between Preston and Queens Park Rangers. Portsmouth also secured a win 1-0 over Oxford, while Coventry and Hull finished their match in a draw 0-0.
