Darwin Nunez's Transfer to Al-Hilal Completed

  • Al-Hilal signed Darwin Nunez for 53 million euros
  • Nunez spent three years at Liverpool, scoring 40 goals
  • Liverpool is looking for a new forward to replace Nunez

Al-Hilal has completed the signing of Darwin Nunez from Liverpool. Prior to this, Nunez received permission to travel to Germany for medical examinations. The transfer cost the club 53 million euros, which is equivalent to 45.9 million pounds sterling or 61.7 million dollars.

This transfer concludes a three-year stay for Nunez at "Enfield," where he arrived from Benfica in 2022 for an initial fee of 75 million euros. Last season, he played 30 matches in the league, but only in eight of them did he start, scoring five goals.

Liverpool plans to sign a new forward to replace Nunez, especially since this summer they have already strengthened the attacking line by signing Hugo Ekitike, Jérémy Doku, and Florian Wirtz. The club also made a proposal of 110 million pounds for forward Newcastle Alexander Isak, but it was rejected.

During his time at Liverpool, Nunez played 143 matches and scored 40 goals. In total, he wanted to stay with the club, and this summer also showed interest from clubs in Italy, such as Milan and Napoli, but none of them were able to meet Liverpool's financial demands.
