Travis Hunter Debuts, Kem Littel Breaks 70-Yard Record

Travis Hunter, selected as the second overall pick in the 2025 draft, officially debuted in the NFL, playing for Jacksonville Jaguars in a match against Pittsburgh Steelers on September 9, 2025. In this match, Hunter started at the receiver position, playing 92% of the first-team snaps (11 out of 12), and made his first two receptions at 9 yards.

On the opening drive, Hunter received a pass at 3 yards from Trevor Lawrence, and later another reception at 6 yards, which helped establish the field. Hunter did not participate in the first team’s drive, but played 100% of the snaps with the second team.

Additionally, kicker Kem Littel amazed everyone, breaking the 70-yard mark, which has become a record for preseason games, although the official NFL record belongs to Justin Tucker, who made a 66-yard field goal in 2021. Littel scored a field goal from 14-9 before the break.

The Jaguars are hoping that new talents, like Hunter, will help the team improve on last year's result of 4-13. Hunter is ready for the challenges ahead, including the tough weather conditions in Jacksonville, about which he commented during training.
