On the night of August 10, unidentified drones attacked the Saratov region in Russia. Residents reported explosions and a fire near the oil refinery, according to Russian Telegram channels.
According to the information, about eight explosions were clearly heard in Saratov and Engels. Russian media claim that anti-aircraft systems were activated, but no debris was observed falling.
Residents noted that smoke was visible above one of the districts after the attack. At the same time, social media began to show videos of the fire, likely near the oil refinery.
Before the explosions, the Saratov airport was temporarily closed for departures and arrivals. The regional governor, Roman Busargin, warned of a possible drone attack and indicated that the warning systems could be activated in areas of likely threat.
Russian social media also reported sounds of explosions in Voronezh and Lipetsk, although the details have not yet been confirmed.
