Zelensky Discusses Peace with European Leaders

President Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized the importance of concluding the war in Ukraine on just terms, which reflect the interests of European security. He stated this in his recent speeches.
In his speech on August 10, Zelensky expressed gratitude to European leaders for the joint statement, which addresses peace in Ukraine. He noted that the conclusion of the war must be just and respond to the interests of European nations.
Zelensky emphasized the importance of a unified position, including a statement issued by the presidents of France, Italy, Germany, Poland, the United Kingdom, as well as representatives of the European Union. He noted that Ukraine supports this unity, as it contributes to ensuring lasting peace.
In addition, in his evening address on September 9, Zelensky spoke about a meeting at the level of leaders with security partners in the United Kingdom, where they discussed ways to conclude Russia's aggression. Zelensky highlighted the importance of collective efforts to achieve a reliable peace, which prioritizes respect for Ukraine's sovereignty.
The head of the President's Office, Andriy Yermak, also stated participation in these negotiations, noting that peace talks should proceed with the participation of Ukraine, without recognizing the occupation. He emphasized that partners continue to provide support to Ukraine as long as the aggression continues.
