On Saturday evening in Tel Aviv, large-scale protests took place, where tens of thousands of people took to the streets to speak out against the plan of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu regarding the escalation of the war in Gaza. According to organizers' estimates, over 100,000 people gathered for the protest.
Protesters called for an immediate cessation of military actions and the withdrawal of soldiers who remained in Gaza. Alongside the protests, the international community expresses increasing concern regarding Israel's plan to seize Gaza-Siti. Several countries, including Germany, the United Kingdom, and France, issued a joint statement, in which they condemned Israel's decision regarding a large-scale military operation, stating that it would worsen the humanitarian situation.
According to recent data, Israeli forces killed at least 20 Palestinians who were seeking help, while the number of deaths from hunger in Gaza continues to rise. According to reports, in the last 24 hours from hunger, 11 minors have died, which highlights the catastrophic humanitarian situation in the region.
In the coming week, an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council is planned, during which the situation in Gaza will be discussed. International mediators, such as Egypt and Qatar, are working on new frameworks for a ceasefire, which will include the withdrawal of all soldiers in exchange for a cessation of hostilities and the withdrawal of Israeli forces.
