The words of Prime Minister Fico about Ukraine have provoked criticism

  • The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine discussed the statement of Robert Fico.
  • Fico compared Ukraine to grass in the conflict of snails.
  • The statement of the Prime Minister supercedes the spirit of goodwill.

This is reported by Ukrayinska Pravda, Ukrinform.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has decisively discussed the statement of Prime Minister of Slovakia Robert Fico, who stated that Ukraine suffers independently of the results of the upcoming summit between the presidents of the USA and Russia, which will take place on September 15.

Details: Fico compared Ukraine to grass, which suffers in the conflict of snails, noting that "independently of how negotiations are concluded, grass—in this case, Ukraine—is not mine."

In a comment, the Ukrainian MFA emphasized that such statements are figurative and do not reflect the spirit of goodwill, solidarity, and mutual support that the Slovak people have shown to Ukraine.

The Ministry stressed that Fico does not understand the inevitability of agreements with the aggressor, and his statements remind us of the memory of those killed and the suffering of millions of Ukrainian families who are fighting for freedom.

Earlier, Fico also noted that he does not see the necessity to meet with the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, as he "does not want to."
