Real Madrid's midfielder Eduardo Camavinga sustained an injury just before the start of the La Liga season. The 22-year-old footballer is doubtful for the season opener against Osasuna, following his participation in training, including one on Sunday, and his involvement in the last friendly match against the Austrian team Tirol, which is also in question.

The exact extent of the injury is currently unknown, usually depending on the recovery period from similar injuries which require several weeks. Camavinga has already missed the end of last season due to a ruptured ligament sustained in a match against Getafe, and he will not be able to participate in the Club World Championship.

Last season, he played 35 matches, but he did not repeatedly sustain injuries that sidelined him from returning to the field. Notably, he is expected to miss nearly seven weeks at the beginning of the season due to the extended recovery from the ligament rupture and two stoppages due to injuries related to the partial rupture.

Real Madrid will begin their new season on September 19 with a match against Osasuna. In July, the Spanish Football Federation and La Liga denied the club participation in the first match due to involvement in the Club World Championship, where the team progressed to the semifinals.
