Brendan McNulty Wins Tour of Poland After Victory in Time Trial

American cyclist Brendan McNulty secured victory in the Tour of Poland following success in the concluding stage, which took place on August 10, 2025. On this day, he won the time trial that occurred near the salt mine in Wieliczka.
At the moment of the start of the concluding stage, McNulty was in second place in the overall standings, just seven seconds behind the leader, Victor Langellotti from INEOS Grenadiers. The stage consisted of 12.5 km, with the initial part of the course featuring a two-kilometer climb.
McNulty, a former US time trial champion, covered the distance in 14 minutes 31 seconds, which was 46 seconds faster than his closest rival, Langellotti. Italian cyclist Antonio Tiberi finished in second place in the overall standings, finishing fourth in the stage.
This victory became the first for McNulty at a WorldTour stage. Earlier this year, he finished ninth at the Giro d'Italia, supporting Isaac del Toro. After the victory, the athlete expressed support for his teammate Filippo Baroncini, who suffered an injury in the second stage and was placed in an artificial coma. According to the words of the team leader Mauro Janetti, the prognosis for Baroncini's life is unknown, and he was induced into a coma for the acceleration of his recovery.
