Connor Zilish, a 19-year-old driver in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, was involved in an accident after celebrating his victory at the race in Watkins Glen, New York. After the celebration, he attempted to get back into his No. 88 Chevrolet, but subsequently crashed, sustaining a mild concussion.

The incident occurred on August 10, 2025, when Zilish celebrated his sixth win of the season. After the crash, he remained on the ground, and medical personnel quickly provided him assistance. The driver was taken to a hospital for further evaluation.

Zilish confirmed that he felt all right, and expressed gratitude to the medical staff for their swift response. He noted that although he had a mild concussion, the results of the computer tomography showed clear, and he feels better.

At this moment, it is unknown whether Zilish will be able to participate in the upcoming race on August 22 at the Daytona track, but he is hopeful to recover quickly, as this happened earlier after his crash during the Talladega race.
