Killer of Ukrainian Artist Davyd Chychkan

Ukrainian artist and serviceman Davyd Chychkan was killed in battle at the front in Zaporizhzhia. This was reported by human rights activist, journalist, and soldier Maksym Butkevych on his page on Facebook.

According to the information, on September 8, during the attack by enemy infantry, Davyd sustained serious injuries. His heart stopped beating on September 9.

Chychkan was the son of the world-renowned artist Illia Chychkan, born in 1986 in Kyiv. He always approached the execution of tasks from the standpoint of accountability, never hiding behind the backs of others.

Davyd Chychkan remained known not only as a serviceman but also as an artist, whose exhibition "Lines and Triangles" was attacked in the summer of 2022 at the Lviv Municipal Art Center. Also, in 2017, his exhibition in Kyiv was destroyed by unknown individuals.
