Charlotte Caslick misses the World Cup due to injury

  • Charlotte Caslick will not participate in the World Cup due to injury.
  • In her place, the team has called up 18-year-old Manu Moloney.
  • The World Cup will kick off on September 22 in England.

Australian rugby star Charlotte Caslick will not take part in the World Cup due to a chocolate injury. She sustained the injury during a match against New Zealand last month and could not recover in time.

Caslick, an Olympic champion, was hoping to be ready for the first game of Australia against Samoa on September 23. However, following surgery on syndesmosis, it was decided that she would remain in Australia for rehabilitation.

In her place, the team has called up 18-year-old Manu Moloney, who has not yet played at the international level. Head coach Jo Yapp stated that Caslick could return to the team if there is a need due to injury of another player.

Caslick made her debut for the Wallaroos at the beginning of this year and was an important part of the team that was preparing for the World Cup in England. She expressed pride in her contribution to the team, despite not being able to participate in the tournament.

The World Cup starts on September 22, and the final will take place on November 27 at Twickenham Stadium.
