Discussion on the Supply of Patriot Systems and the Production of Missiles

Ukraine and Germany held negotiations regarding the terms of supply of Patriot systems and the prospects for joint production of armaments. According to the words of the Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Sergiy Boyev, timely fulfillment of contracts and clarity on supply issues are essential.

During a meeting with the military attaché of the German embassy, Colonel Torsten Friz, they discussed the status of defense contracts, including the terms of supply of Patriot systems, as well as the need for production of missiles for the Patriot and long-range systems.

A crucial issue has been the establishment of mechanisms for direct communication between the defense ministries for quick resolution of emerging issues. Sergiy Boyev noted that timeliness and clarity of supply are critically important for planning military operations and protecting the civilian population.

They also discussed the possibility of expanding cooperation and developing joint enterprises that would support the defense needs of Ukraine. In particular, there was talk about financing and increasing production capabilities.

It is reminded that earlier the President of the USA announced the transfer of Patriot systems to Ukraine at the expense of NATO allies, and Germany announced its readiness to transfer two systems on the condition of their rapid replacement.
