Zabornyi proceeds with medical clearance before signing a contract with PSG

  • Illia Zabornyi has undergone medical clearance prior to signing a contract with PSG.
  • The total value of the transfer amounts to 66 million euros.
  • Bormuth has already started looking for a replacement for his defender.

Defender Bormuth Illia Zabornyi is close to signing a contract with Paris Saint-Germain. The Ukrainian center-back successfully completed medical clearance in Paris. It is expected that the signing of the contract will take place shortly.

According to the agreement, the total value of the transfer amounts to 66 million euros, of which 63 million euros is the base sum, and an additional 3 million euros are potential bonuses.

Negotiations between the clubs lasted some time, as Bormuth initially demanded 70 million euros for Zabornyi. However, as a result of discussions, the club agreed on a reduced sum.

This transfer will become the third significant sale of Bormuth's defender during the summer transfer window, as previously the club sold Dina Huyssen and Milosh Kerkez.

Bormuth is already preparing to sign a new defender, Bafode Diakite from Lille, which indicates the active work of the club regarding the renewal of the squad.
