Paramount acquires UFC broadcasting rights in the USA under a 7-year contract
- Paramount becomes the new broadcaster for UFC in the USA.
- The 7-year agreement is valued at $1.1 billion per year.
- Events will be streamed on Paramount+ and CBS.
New York (AP) — Paramount becomes the new home for all Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) events in the USA, following a seven-year agreement with TKO Group, announced on Monday.
Under the agreement, Paramount will exclusively broadcast the full slate of 13 major events and 30 "Fight Nights" on its streaming platform Paramount+, starting in 2026. Some of the major events will also be broadcast on CBS.
This marks a shift from the previous pay-per-view model for UFC, and Paramount and TKO assert that this will allow for programming of mixed martial arts events to reach a larger audience across the country.
The seven-year agreement has an average annual value of $1.1 billion, the companies stated in the announcement.
Paramount, which currently belongs to Skydance, also expressed intent to explore the possibility of acquiring UFC rights outside the USA when they become available in the future.
