Development of the Dophin Spider Drone for Ukraine
- The Dophin Spider drone is capable of delivering strikes at targets located more than 50 km away.
- The development is the result of collaboration between the 3rd Assault Brigade and Brave1.
- The technology is already being used on the front line for the destruction of enemy targets.
This was reported by RBC Ukraine, Ukrayinska Pravda.
Ukrainian engineers have created a unique drone with artificial intelligence, capable of delivering strikes on targets located more than 50 kilometers away. The drone, named Dophin Spider, is the result of collaboration between engineers from the 3rd Assault Brigade, the Omnitech company, and the Brave1 platform. The Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, Mykhailo Fedorov, stated that the idea for the drone emerged directly on the front lines in the laboratories of the brigade.
The drone was named in honor of a fallen soldier with the call sign Dophin. "This drone, developed in his honor, is already delivering strikes on the enemy at distances greater than 50 km," Fedorov noted.
The minister emphasized that the Dophin Spider surpasses existing analogs in key indicators and is automatically oriented locally using algorithms of artificial intelligence. Its primary role is to ensure a reliable connection for strike drones that operate deep behind the front line.
This allows Ukrainian drones to appear in unexpected locations for the enemy and effectively destroy systems of air defense, logistical hubs, and other significant targets.
The technology is already being utilized on the front line and will be scaled up to increase the enemy's losses. Today's drones play an important role in the war, significantly influencing the course of combat operations. They are used for reconnaissance, coordinating artillery fire, attacking enemy equipment and personnel, and also for defense against attacks.
The effectiveness of drones forces both Ukraine and Russia to continually adapt their actions and modify approaches to military operations.
