Apple does not plan to release the updated version of its voice assistant Siri this year. According to information provided by Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman, the new Siri, which will be able to interact with various apps, will be presented in late 2026.

The updated version of Siri will be able to perform complex actions in apps, such as leaving comments on Instagram, adding items to the cart in online stores, editing photos, and sending them. Apple is currently testing these functionalities in its own apps, as well as in third-party apps like AllTrails, Amazon, Facebook, Threads, Temu, Uber, WhatsApp, and YouTube.

At the WWDC 2024 conference, Apple first showcased the updated version of Siri, where the main theme was the Apple Intelligence system. In early 2025, it became known that the company is delaying the launch of Siri, citing the necessity of additional time for the implementation of planned capabilities.

After the release of the iPhone 16, Apple faced criticism due to an advertisement in which the Siri functionalities were shown that were not accessible to users, which led to a backlash in undesired advertising.
