Ukrainian Cyber Specialists Attack Russian Internet Provider
- 600 virtual machines and 800 terabytes of data have been destroyed.
- 3,100 units of communication equipment have been removed.
- The attack resulted in losses amounting to 1.3 million US dollars.

Cyber specialists from the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine conducted an attack on the "Filanko" company, which is one of the largest internet and hosting service providers in Russia. The company serves over 20,000 clients, including mobile operators "Bilain," "MGTs," and Russian law enforcement agencies.
As a result of the attack, 600 virtual machines, 24 hypervisors, 800 terabytes of data, 11 physical servers, 74 Raspberry Pi devices for remote data monitoring, and 12 terabytes of data from sensors were destroyed. In addition, 5 physical servers in the office and 5 terabytes of data that were stored on them were also destroyed.
Furthermore, 3,100 units of communication equipment have been removed, including 37 service routers, main routers, and backup routers.
The cyber specialists also "cleaned" the company’s accounts amounting to 1.3 million US dollars, and also hacked a site that sells "dual-use valves" for Russian military forces, displaying on the main page a photograph of destroyed Russian military equipment in Ukraine.
Cyber Intelligence Operations
Recently, cyber specialists from the GUR also conducted a large-scale special operation against the occupied properties of Crimea and coordinated the work of one of the largest manufacturers of drones in Russia.
Additionally, the GUR attacked the gas infrastructure of "Gazprom," which supports the military aggression of Russia against Ukraine.
