The pilot of EasyJet was suspended in connection with an incident at a hotel in the resort on the island of Cabo Verde. According to witnesses, he was found naked at the hotel and in a state of alcoholic intoxication.
The incident occurred early on September 5, when a pilot, whose identity has not been disclosed, was found naked in the reception area of the hotel Melia Dunas Beach Resort and Spa after a lengthy drinking party.
According to information, the pilot arrived at the hotel on September 4 and began drinking. At 02:30 local time, he appeared completely naked and went to the reception area, and then moved to the gym and spa.
The pilot was supposed to operate a flight to Gatwick on September 6, but after receiving a warning about his behavior, he was removed from the flight, and at his place, another pilot was assigned.
A representative of EasyJet confirmed that the pilot had been suspended from duty pending an internal investigation, which is currently ongoing. They emphasized that the safety of passengers and crew is the company's highest priority.
