Harry and Meghan Sign New Deal with Netflix for Content Creation
- Harry and Meghan have signed a new deal with Netflix for content creation.
- The new agreement includes the release of the second season of "Heart of Invictus."
- Archewell Productions is working on a documentary film about the situation in Uganda.
Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, have signed a new deal with Netflix, which includes the creation of films and television projects. This agreement is an extension of a previous five-year deal made in 2020 worth $100 million.
The new agreement, referred to as the first rights deal, allows Netflix to exclusively develop all projects created by their company Archewell Productions. This comes amid speculation that Netflix does not plan to continue its collaboration with the couple due to low ratings of their previous projects.
Meghan noted that they are looking to expand their partnership with Netflix and collaborate on the brand As Ever. This brand, launched by Meghan, promotes products such as jams and wines, and is already gaining popularity.
The first new projects under the new agreement will be the second season of "Heart of Invictus" and a holiday special release, which will come out later this year. Archewell Productions is also working on a documentary film about the situation in Uganda titled "Masaka Kids, A Rhythm Within."
After their collaboration with Spotify ended earlier than expected, Harry and Meghan continue to develop their media initiatives, hoping for the success of new projects.
