Manchester United Begins a New Season with Hopes for Success
- Manchester United is looking forward to a successful start to the season.
- Harry Maguire talks about new signings and the training base.
- The club is undergoing a transformation with the arrival of a new trainer.
Harry Maguire believes that Manchester United has a "new beginning" ahead of the new season, aiming to restore its reputation after a difficult year.
The team finished last season in 15th place in the Premier League, which became their worst result. Even participating in the final of the Europa League, where they lost to Tottenham, did not alleviate the problems.
Regarding new signings, such as Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo, and Benjamin Sesko, as well as the renovation of the training base for a total of £50 million, the team has gained new energy.
In the upcoming week, the team will face the former superstars of Arsenal, and Maguire noted that there is a positive atmosphere in the club. "We are working towards success, and we hope this will be a good start," he said in a podcast with Rio Ferdinand.
Harry joined United six years ago for a record amount for a defender, but in recent years the team has been struggling. After former manager Erik ten Hag took over the captaincy, Maguire decided to stay and fight for his place in the team.
With the arrival of new trainer Ruben Amorim, his situation has improved, and the club continues to extend his contract for another year.
Maguire also emphasized that the club faces more criticism because many people do not like Manchester United.
