On August 11, 2025, Luhansk Zorya faced the Kudrivka team in the second round match of the Ukrainian Premier League. Zorya won against the newcomer to the league with a score of 2:1. The winning goal was scored by Roman Salenko, who marked his debut in the match. This goal was significant for the team, as Zorya managed to secure their first victory of the season.

Kudrivka, who recently joined the Ukrainian Premier League, was trying to earn points, but could not maintain the lead. After the first half, Zorya was leading 1:0 thanks to Salenko's goal. In the second half, the Kudrivka team managed to equalize the score, but Zorya quickly restored their lead thanks to Jordan's goal.

This victory allowed Zorya to collect their first three points in the championship, marking a positive start under the leadership of the new coach Viktor Kudrivka.
