Mbilli and Martinez to Meet on Canelo's Undercard

On September 13, a fight will take place at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, in which one of the two boxers will have the opportunity to compete for the title. In the context of the undercard of the fight between champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez and Terence Crawford, one of the two boxers will have the chance to fight for the title.

Christian Mbilli (29-0, 24 KO) will meet Lester Martinez (19-0, 16 KO). Mbilli, who occupies second place in the super middleweight rankings according to ESPN, recently scored a victory over Maciej Sulecki, knocking him out in the first round, becoming the interim WBC champion in the weight category up to 76.2 kg. Martinez, a boxer from Guatemala, also approaches the fight with a recent victory, having knocked out Djoeshon James in the fourth round in the suburbs.

The co-main event later will feature a showdown between Irishman Callum Walsh (14-0, 11 KO) and Fernando Vargas Jr. (17-0, 15 KO) in the weight category up to 69.9 kg. Walsh, who trains under the guidance of Dana White, CEO of UFC, aims to become a key boxer in the upcoming TKO Group's Zuffa Boxing project.

Also on the program for September 13 is a scheduled fight in the lightweight division between Mohamed Alakele (4-0) from Saudi Arabia and John Ornelas (5-2), which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
