President of the USA Donald Trump expressed a statement regarding the necessity of constitutional approval by Ukraine for any territorial matters, including exchanges of territories. At a briefing in Washington, he stated: "Men are trying to turn what Zelensky is saying: 'Well, I need to get constitutional approval.' He needs approval for conducting wars, but he also needs approval for territory exchanges. I know this has been discussed with everyone."

Trump also emphasized that the USA, together with partners, aims to assist Ukraine in reclaiming parts of occupied territories. However, he noted that some local exchanges will still have a place, calling this "for the good of Ukraine." According to the president's words, "there will be some exchanges of territories, because the lines of conflict are very uneven."

He highlighted the importance of returning territories that were seized by Russia, adding that earlier Ukraine had a thousand miles of territory, but now it has only a small section left near Odessa. Trump also confirmed that a meeting with President of Russia Vladimir Putin is planned in Algiers on September 15.

In response to Trump's proposal, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky noted that territorial issues are enshrined in the Constitution, and Ukraine will not give up its land to the occupiers.
