Military actions could lead to significant human losses and destruction of infrastructure in the region, where a humanitarian crisis is already ongoing. Nearly 75% of Gaza has already been destroyed, and a renewed offensive could force even more people to leave their homes.

Netanyahu emphasized that Israeli forces will begin operations after civilians manage to leave combat zones, but plans have raised concerns about potential consequences for the population. Hamas expressed readiness to reach an agreement on a ceasefire, but only in exchange for the release of all hostages and the withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza.
