The Seoul-based company Datumo has completed a Series B funding round, raising 15.5 million dollars in the USA. These funds will help the company meet the growing demand for its solutions for the verification and evaluation of machine learning models.
Among the investors in the round were Salesforce Ventures, KB Investment, SBI Investment, and others. The total amount of investments received by the company since its founding has reached approximately 28 million dollars.
Datumo, founded in 2018, initially focused on data marketing, but over time expanded its service offerings to include tools for testing and evaluating AI models. The company developed the Datumo Eval platform, which automatically generates test data and evaluations without the need for programming.
Datumo's General Director, David Kim, noted that the company is receiving requests from clients for evaluating the results of AI models, which contributes to their development in this field. Among Datumo's clients are large Korean companies such as Samsung and Hyundai.
Recently, Datumo also became part of a consortium that received support from the Ministry of Science and Information Technology of South Korea for developing its own AI model. The company is actively expanding in the markets of Japan and the USA.
