KALISPELL, Montana. — On Monday, around 2:00 PM, a small aircraft, which had four people on board, collided with a parked plane while boarding at Kalispell Airport. This incident caused a significant fire, but according to local authorities, there were no serious injuries.

The aircraft, a Socata TBM 700, registered to Meter Sky LLC from Pullman, Washington, landed at the airport located south of Kalispell, a city with a population of about 30,000. After colliding with another plane, the fire spread to the grassy area, but it was quickly extinguished.

The head of the Kalispell police, Jordan Venesio, and the Federal Aviation Administration confirmed that two passengers received minor injuries and were treated on site. Witnesses reported that the plane landed at the end of the runway, after which it lost control and crashed into another aircraft.

The aircraft that was involved in the incident was manufactured in 2011. According to the fire chief of Kalispell, Jay Hagen, the pilot and passengers managed to evacuate themselves after the plane came to a stop.
