The single "Golden" from the animated film KPop Demon Hunters debuted at number one on the Billboard Hot 100, marking a historic achievement for K-pop. This is the first song performed by a female K-pop group to reach this milestone.

The film, which was released on Netflix in June, tells the story of a girl group Huntr/x, who pursue a career in music while battling demons. "Golden" received 32 million streams in its first week of August and became popular not only in the USA but also in the UK, where it also topped the official singles chart.

The single "Golden" was performed by artists EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and REI AMI. Since its debut on July 5, the song has steadily climbed to the top of the charts, and the track itself became the fourth most streamed film on Netflix of all time. It also observes another success: the song "Your Idol" by the fictional group Saja Boys took the eighth spot in the Hot 100.

The directors of the film, Maggi Khan and Kris Appelgans, collaborated with experienced K-pop producers to create music that fits the genre's style. "The music here is integrated into the plot, enhancing its impact," Khan noted in a previous interview.
