Shohei Ohtani continues to impress with his results in MLB
- Ohtani hit his 42nd home run, surpassing the Dodgers' previous record
- In September, Ohtani has a 10-game hitting streak
- The Dodgers are leading the National League West with a record of 68-50
Shohei Ohtani has once again showcased his remarkable skills on the baseball field, starting with a home run in the third game of the series. In the game against the Los Angeles Angels, he hit his 42nd home run in the eighth inning, which became part of the Dodgers' attempt to come back in the game. At the moment of his home run, the team was trailing 7-0, but after that, Ohtani ignited a rally that brought the score to 7-4.
Currently, Ohtani has a 10-game hitting streak in September, which is his best mark of the season. Moreover, he has already hit four home runs in the last five games. In his first six seasons in MLB, Ohtani played for the Angels, where he won two MVP awards.
However, despite his successes, Ohtani also faces challenges that have hindered his team's progress. In a game against the Toronto Blue Jays, he attempted to steal third base but was caught, and in the following ninth inning, he could not capitalize on the opportunity, leading to a loss with a score of 5-4.
The Dodgers are currently leading the National League West with a record of 68-50. In the upcoming match, Ohtani plans to step out onto the pitch at Angel Stadium for the first time since signing a contract worth $700 million with the Dodgers.
