Russian missile attack hits soldiers in Ukraine

On the evening of September 12, Russian troops carried out a missile strike on a training unit of the Southern Forces of Ukraine. According to information provided by the Southern Forces, as a result of the attack, one soldier was killed, and several others received injuries.
The personnel had been warned about the threat of a missile strike. However, despite the existing safety measures, a group of military personnel was caught under fire from cluster munitions during a relocation to a shelter.
As of 9:00 AM Kyiv time, it was reported about one killed and 11 injured of varying severity. Another 12 military personnel were in need of medical assistance due to shrapnel wounds and stress-related disorders.
Emergency services are working at the scene of the incident, and the injured are receiving necessary medical assistance.
The Southern Forces reported that work is ongoing to equip training centers, grounds, and other military facilities with reliable shelters. Additional safety measures are also being implemented to protect military personnel during missile and aerial attacks from the enemy.
Strikes on training grounds
This summer, Russia has intensified attacks on Ukrainian military training centers. On June 1, a strike occurred on the 239th training ground in the Dnipropetrovsk region, resulting in the death of 12 individuals and injuring over 60. Following this tragedy, the commander of the Southern Forces of Ukraine, Mykhailo Dramaty, made a statement.
On June 4, a missile strike began on a training unit in the Poltava region, and on June 22, Russian forces attacked a training ground of one of the mechanized brigades during military exercises.
After these terrorist attacks, the commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskiy, announced a mass mobilization of troops at training grounds.
