Defending the Line at the Pokrovsk Front

• 1st Corps of the National Guard declared a defensive position at the Pokrovsk front.

1st Corps of the National Guard of Ukraine "Azov" has stated for several days that they have established a significant defensive line at the Pokrovsk front.

The situation remains complex and dynamic. The enemy, attempting to advance on this front, is incurring significant losses in personnel and equipment.

Units of the corps have been deployed and are conducting operations to block Russian forces in the designated zone.

Situation at the Front

Throughout the last day, there were 168 combat engagements. Russian forces are conducting active offensive actions in 12 directions, including at the Pokrovsk, Lyman, and Novopavlivka sectors of the front.

In the Pokrovsk direction, our defenders have stopped 48 offensive actions of the aggressor. According to information from Ukrainian defenders, diverse reconnaissance groups of the enemy are being eliminated even before they reach the cities.

According to ISW analysts, as of July 31, Ukrainian forces recently advanced north of Lysychansk in the Pokrovsk direction.

The British intelligence believes that the Russians have achieved some successes in this direction, however, the price that the Russian military has paid is extraordinarily high.
