Kimera Evo38, the new car debuting at Monterey Car Week, showcases its performance and design. This car is a modern version of the legendary Lancia 037, which won the world championship in rallying in 1983.
The Evo38 is equipped with a 2.2-liter four-cylinder engine, which is paired with a turbocharger and a compressor, ensuring a power output of 600 hp. Thanks to the new 48V hybrid system, the car provides better elasticity and speed. Power is transmitted to all four wheels via a six-speed manual transmission.
Notably, the change to full-time all-wheel drive allows for improved grip on the road. The driver can adjust the distribution moment between the front and rear wheels via a special controller in the cabin. Despite these changes, the weight of the Evo38 remains lighter than its predecessor, at approximately 1100 kg.
The car also features a new suspension with struts and a reinforced frame. Thanks to this, the Evo38 is promised to be not only powerful but also dynamic on the road. The car's price, although not yet confirmed, could reach 500,000 pounds sterling, and more than 38 pre-ordered examples will already have their buyers.
