The Luxurious Estate of Viktor Orban with Gardens and Underground Corridors
- The published photographs of Viktor Orban's luxurious estate have sparked a public outcry.
- An underground corridor and a heating system for comfort are highlighted.
- The opposition demands an investigation into Orban's assets and their origins.
This is reported by RBC Ukraine, Ukrayinska Pravda.
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has found himself at the center of a scandal due to his estate in Hatvanpuszta. Independent MP Ákos Hadházy published videos and photographs that showcase the luxurious gardens, a private zoo, and even zebras on the territory. While the government and Orban himself deny that the estate is larger than the "village state farm" of the prime minister's father, documents about energy efficiency raise doubts about these claims.
According to the information, three out of four new buildings on the territory have received energy efficiency certificates. This indicates that one of the sections of the estate, which is officially classified as "residential buildings," cannot be a village state farm object, as for the remaining certificates, they are not required.
On the weekend, Hadházy organized an excursion to the estate, in which thousands of people participated, who wanted to personally verify whether this is the "unfinished village state farm" or a luxurious palace. Among the additional elements of the infrastructure that were revealed is an underground corridor connecting the buildings, and a heating system under the playground, which allows for the melting of snow.
It is also reported that builders have removed historical architectural landmarks to restore this estate. In response to this incident, the opposition party has called for an investigation into the assets of all former government members, including Orban.
