She arrived in Great Britain as part of a joint plan organized by her accomplices Mohamed Aslam, 59 years old, and Mohamed Nabil Nazar, 31 years old, who had a conflict with the family of the intended victim, Sikander Ali.

The court in Birmingham established that Betro attempted to kill Ali in his home on Mieshem Grove on September 7, 2019, but her plot was thwarted, and Ali remained unharmed. Betro fled to the USA during the judicial process against her accomplices, who were also charged. Her verdict is yet to be announced.
