Dewald Brevis became the hero of the second match of the T20 series between South Africa and Australia, scoring 125 unprocessed runs from 56 balls. His impressive performance helped South Africa achieve victory by 53 runs, which leveled the series at 1-1.

In a match that took place at the Marrara Stadium in Darwin, South Africa initially struggled, falling to 57-3, but Brevis, along with Tristan Stubbs (31), stabilized the situation, creating a partnership of 126 runs. Brevis reached his century in 41 balls, which is the second-fastest in the history of T20 for South Africa.

Australia, for their part, could not recover, collapsing for just 165 runs in 17.4 overs. This marked their ninth consecutive series defeat in T20. The best player for the Australian team was Tim David, who scored 50 runs.

The match, which was decisive in the series, will take place in Cairns on Saturday, after which the teams will play three matches in a single series.
