- Zelensky proposes to raise the age limit for departure to 22 years.
- The deferral for individuals allows crossing the border only for certain categories.
- Students can travel abroad for training under academic mobility conditions.
About this reports Interfax Ukraine, RBC Ukraine.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has instructed the government to simplify the procedure for crossing the state border for young Ukrainians aged up to 22 years. "Currently, the limit is set at 18 years, I propose to raise it to 22 years, so that there are no restrictions when crossing," Zelensky noted during the forum "Youth Here".
He emphasized that this would help many young Ukrainians maintain ties with Ukraine. During the mobilization and wartime status in Ukraine, the majority of people who have a deferral can travel abroad, but not all categories.
Individuals who have disabilities, those who have a dependent parent in the first or second disability group, and parents of children with disabilities can travel abroad. Also, students of Ukrainian higher educational institutions may have the opportunity to travel for a semester as part of academic mobility, but for this, it is necessary to pass a competition.
