Bulgaria conducts searches over arms deals with Ukraine
- Searches in Bulgaria were initiated by the Ukrainian anti-corruption bureau.
- Operations are related to corruption in arms trading.
- So far, no arrests have been made.

On September 12, mass searches are taking place in Bulgaria regarding corruption in arms trading. These operations were initiated by the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine, reported the spokesperson of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Bulgaria, Miroslav Rashkov.
The searches are being conducted in several locations under the supervision of the National Investigation Service of Bulgaria. Participants in the operation include employees of the Main Directorate for Combating Organized Crime and the Main Directorate of the Gendarmerie, special operations, and anti-terrorism.
Rashkov clarified that no individuals have been detained so far as a result of the searches. Earlier, the Prosecutor General's Office of Bulgaria stated that it oversees these operations in connection with investigating corruption in arms sales at inflated prices.
Searches at the residence of Shurma
Recently, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine also conducted searches at the residence of former Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Rostislav Shurma, in Germany. The Director of NABU, Semen Kryvonos, did not disclose details of this investigation.
