Sling TV has introduced a new subscription format for viewing, which allows viewers to access live content without the necessity of a long-term subscription. The new option, known as "add-on subscription," costs $4.99 and provides access to 24 hours of live and on-demand content from various channels, such as ESPN, TNT, Disney Channel, and CNN.
In addition to the add-on subscription, Sling TV also offers a "pay-per-view subscription" for $9.99, which is valid for five days per week, as well as a "weekly subscription" for $14.99. These subscriptions include popular networks that are available in the basic Sling TV subscription, which costs $45.99 per month.
Viewers who wish to obtain additional channels can choose the "Sling Extras" packages for additional fees. These packages can be added to the add-on subscription for $1, to the pay-per-view subscription for $2, or to the weekly subscription for $3.
The new subscriptions may be beneficial for those who want to watch a specific sporting event or television premiere without committing to a long-term plan. In the context of rising prices for live streaming, such options may be appealing for occasional viewers.
