On August 12, 2025, during the shooting at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in the USA, 30-year-old Patrick Joseph White opened fire, firing nearly 500 rounds. According to law enforcement reports, from the scene of the incident, nearly 500 shell casings were recovered, of which nearly 200 were found inside the building on the CDC grounds.

Director of the Bureau of Investigation Georgia Chris Hoss confirmed during a press conference that the shooter had suicidal thoughts, receiving a warning beforehand. He noted that White expressed thoughts about suicide, and the police had been informed about this several days before the incident.
