Anthropic on August 12, 2025 announced the launch of a new memory feature for its chatbot Claude, which allows it to recall and reference previous conversations. This capability is available on the web platform, desktop, and mobile versions, ensuring seamless project management, while also allowing for real-time discussions.

Users can activate the feature by enabling the "Recall and connect conversations" option in the settings of the interface. However, Anthropic clarified that this memory is not permanent, as in ChatGPT, and Claude does not create a user profile and only gains access to previous chats through direct requests.

In addition, Claude Sonnet 4 received a significant update, allowing it to process up to one million tokens of context in a single request. This substantial increase enables developers to analyze entire programming projects or dozens of scientific articles without needing to break them into smaller parts.

This new capability enhances the ability of AI assistants to handle complex, information-dense tasks, allowing them to process codebases with over 75,000 lines of code. Anthropic emphasizes that the new capabilities unlock genuine agent-like abilities, allowing users to conduct extensive programming sessions on real codebases.

Additionally, the company adjusts its pricing policy, taking into account new usage requirements. Requests for over 200,000 tokens are processed under new tariffs, which may impact the AI development market.

Since the launch of the Claude 4 models in April, Anthropic has demonstrated stable growth, particularly in the code generation segment, where it occupies 42% of the market. This new feature has already generated significant interest among enterprises looking to enhance the efficiency of their workflows.
