Tottenham Excludes Bissouma from Squad Due to Disciplinary Issues

Tottenham midfielder Hotspur Yves Bissouma did not make the team for the UEFA Supercup final against Paris Saint-Germain due to disciplinary violations.

The new Tottenham head coach Thomas Frank confirmed that Bissouma was punished for systematic violations. "He has been suspended several times, and this last suspension was particularly significant for us," Frank said at a press conference before the match.

Frank stressed that it is important to impose requirements on players, and this decision was the result of his behavior. "This is the consequence, and we discussed it when he returns to training," the coach added.

This is not the first incident for Bissouma since his transfer to Tottenham in January 2022. Earlier, he had been suspended from participating in the first half of the 2024-25 season due to a video in which he was seen inhaling nitrous oxide.

In June of this year, Bissouma played in the final of the European League, but his future at the club looks uncertain, especially since the term of his contract is coming to an end in less than 12 months.

On the positive side, Tottenham received good news: Domenik Solanke is ready to participate in the match against PSZH. Frank also noted that left-back Destiny Udogie is close to returning to training with the team.
