Daniel Spencer, known for his role as Di Thomas in the series What Happens!!, passed away on September 11, 2025. This was reported by his friend and colleague Haywood Nelson on Instagram. The cause of death was not specified.

Spencer, who was born on June 24, 1965, in the Bronx, New York, became popular for his role in the series, which aired from 1976 to 1979. The series, which started as a replacement show, had three seasons and was revived in 1985 in the form of What Happens Now!! until 1988.

In 1977, Spencer was involved in a serious car accident that resulted in a prolonged coma. In 2014, he was diagnosed with leukemia, with which he successfully battled. However, in 2018, he underwent a terminal operation on his jaw due to the aftermath of the accident.

After finishing his television career, Spencer began studying veterinary medicine at the University of California, Davis, and became a veterinarian in 1996. He also wrote a memoir Through the Fire: Memoir of a Child Star.
