The case of domestic violence against professional boxer Gervonta "Tank" Davis was closed on July 12, 2025, due to the victim's refusal to press charges. According to information from the website of the Miami-Dade County Clerk, the charges were dropped in connection with the incident involving his former partner, which was officially recorded.

Davis, 30 years old, was arrested in Miami Beach on July 11 after his vehicle was identified by the automatic license plate recognition system. Police initially stopped him in Miami Beach, and then transferred him to the Doral police, where he was released on a bond of $10,000.

According to the police report, the incident occurred on June 15, when Davis arrived to pick up his children. His former partner claimed that during the confrontation he struck her in the head and punched her in the face. After this, the woman sought medical assistance.

The case was closed after the victim, according to her lawyer's words, refused to press charges. It was also noted that the witness, the mother of the woman, did not cooperate with the police, which complicated further investigation.

Davis, who is the WBA champion in lightweight, has a successful career in boxing, having won 30 fights, of which 28 ended in knockouts. His future plans in boxing remain uncertain following this incident.
