- OpenAI has reverted GPT-4o for all paying ChatGPT subscribers.
- New integrations with Dropbox and Microsoft Teams have been introduced.
- Access to GPT-5 is limited to 3000 messages per week.
This was reported by VentureBeat, VentureBeat.
The launch of GPT-5 by OpenAI has become a significant event in the world of artificial intelligence. This new language model was released on September 7, 2025, but the first week was not without difficulties. Users reported delays due to infrastructure issues and the unexpected removal of older models like GPT-4o.
In response to the feedback, OpenAI decided to revert to GPT-4o as the standard option for all paying subscribers, including those subscribed to ChatGPT Plus, Pro, Team, Enterprise, and Edu. Now users can easily select this model without the need to adjust additional parameters.
OpenAI has also introduced new capabilities for integrating ChatGPT with platforms such as Dropbox and Microsoft Teams, allowing users to access files and projects seamlessly during conversations. These features are currently available only to subscribers in the USA.
Furthermore, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman highlighted the limitations on the use of GPT-5, which may change depending on user demand trends. Along with the new rules, ChatGPT Plus subscribers will receive 3000 messages per week in "Thinking" mode. This underscores the importance of managing resources in the context of growing demand for the new model.
