Russian troops continue their advance in Donetsk region

According to the Ukrainian military analytical group DeepState, on the night of August 12 to 13, Russian troops conducted offensives in several populated areas of Donetsk region. In particular, advances were noted in Nikanorivka and Shcherbynivka, as well as in the vicinity of Petrivka.
Currently, Ukrainian troops successfully cleared the vicinity of Stepnohirsk in the Zaporizhzhia region. Overall, the situation in the Dobropillya area continues to remain tense. According to DeepState, Russian troops advanced 10 kilometers into the tactical zone in the northern flank of the Pokrovsk direction, approaching the Dobropillya-Kramatorsk road.
Official sources, including the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, indicate that Ukrainian forces are implementing effective measures to halt the Russian advance on the fronts of Dobropillya and Pokrovsk. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy also reported on the situation in this locality and confirmed that groups of Russian troops advanced 10 kilometers but without equipment.
Russian troops are attempting to consolidate and expand their positions, planning further offensive actions. Meanwhile, Ukrainian forces have already begun stabilization operations in the Dobropillya area to identify and eliminate Russian units attempting to bypass Ukrainian positions.
According to analysts, the situation in this region is complex but not catastrophic. Many of the Russian troops that penetrated into Ukrainian positions have already been captured or destroyed. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine plans to implement additional measures to strengthen the defense and block Russian groups in this area.
