Tourist Problems of Tui Due to New Rules in the USA

The company Tui, the largest tour operator in Europe, reported a decrease in the number of European tourists choosing to travel to the USA. General Director of the company Sebastian Ebel noted that the increase in strict border rules negatively impacted demand. Numerous cases of tourists being detained and deported from Europe have caused concern among potential travelers.

Notably, tourists from Europe are increasingly choosing other destinations, such as Canada, Africa, and Asia. According to data, arrivals from Canada and Mexico to the USA in 2025 decreased by 20% compared to last year.

Despite these problems, Tui also reported an increase in bookings. In the third quarter, the company achieved revenue of 321 million euros, which is 38% higher compared to last year. The cruise segment showed particularly high results due to the launch of new ships.

Ebel emphasized that the company will continue to adapt to changes in the tourism environment and hopes for an improvement in the situation in the future.
