Ukraine condemned the involvement of the war in Ukraine in Georgia's campaign

The Ministry of Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine reacted to the actions of the ruling party of Georgia, "Georgian Dream", which again uses footage from the war in Ukraine in its pre-election campaign.

In the government statement, it is noted that such actions are inappropriate and demonstrate insensitivity to the Ukrainian people and the victims of the Russian aggression. The ministry believes that such steps provoke outrage in Ukrainian society.

In their statement, Ukrainian diplomats emphasized that the Georgian authorities "are being drawn into Moscow" and do not adhere to the principles of dignity and independence, which have always been paramount to the Georgian people.

Moreover, diplomats advised the political strategy of the "Georgian Dream" party to be honest with their own people and show the real picture of the situation, where on one side is the Russian tricolor, and on the other side are the closed doors of the EU and NATO.

In the video that is being used in the campaign, destroyed Ukrainian cities are shown, as well as abandoned facilities in Georgia. The slogan of the campaign "Choose Peace" contrasts the war in Ukraine with the supposed peaceful life in Georgia.

Currently, Ukraine has reiterated its unwavering support for the Georgian people in their aspiration to build an independent, democratic, and European state.
