Google Search users have received a new feature that allows them to select search results only from chosen sources. The feature, known as Preferred Sources, was introduced in mid-June 2025. It enables users to select a number of sites or blogs that will appear more frequently in Google search results.
Users can choose any number of sources, but the effect of the feature diminishes with a large number of selections. This allows filtering out unwanted resources, such as Russian-language sites, and configuring the search to focus only on Ukrainian and Western media.
At the moment, the feature is rolling out for users in India and the USA, information about the launch in other regions is currently unavailable.
Google indicates that after selecting sources, they will appear more frequently in the "From Your Sources" section on the search results page. Users can also change their selections at any time.
